ACM X CIIED Hackathon

ACM BPDC is thrilled to announce its most awaited event of the year, the ACM Hackathon. The dynamic two-day event is in collaboration with Center for Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship, Dubai (CIIED). and is all set to take place on the 27th and 28th September,2023. This hackathon is an inclusive platform designed for all students, regardless of their field of study or expertise.

Participants can join in teams consisting of 2-4 members. This encourages them to brainstorm, ideate and implement creative solutions to the challenges presented in the hackathon. The event is going to be free for all participants.

One of the most intriguing parts of the Hackathon is that coding knowledge isn’t a prerequisite. Regardless of your coding background, this event is all about innovation and creativity making it the ideal setting for exploring new ideas and approaches.

Another standout feature of the Hackathon is that every participant will be paired with a knowledgeable mentor who will provide guidance and support throughout ensuring that they get every opportunity to succeed.

What makes this Hackathon even more innovative is that participants will learn to use the Figma software. Figma is a collaborative UI/UX designing platform that will help participants design and develop their prototypes.

Towards the end of the two-day event, the participants will pitch their ideas. This pitching session will not only help them gain exposure and recognition but is also an opportunity to demonstrate their pitching skills and receive constructive feedback from the judges.

To keep the energy levels up, all participants are provided with snacks and refreshments. All participants also receive a certificate of participation for their dedication and contribution to this exciting event.

As an added incentive, first place winners will receive AED 200, second place will receive AED 150, third place will receive AED 100 and the winners for Best Prototype and Best Pitch will receive AED 50 each.
