Core Council

Chair
The Chair is the principal officer and is responsible for leading the Chapter and managing its activities by the policies and procedures of ACM and the bylaws.


Vice Chair
The Vice-Chair shall preside at meetings in the absence of the Chair, assist the Chair in the management of the Chapter, and perform other duties that may be assigned by the Chair. The Vice-Chair shall also keep the minutes of all Chapter meetings.

 

Community Chair ② ③

The Community Chair shall be responsible for leading the membership activities, and developments, including maintaining relations with the Chapter members followed by outreach programs and initiatives, and shall maintain the Chapter’s financial records. Other duties include:

  1. Recruiting new members to the Chapter and leading the Chapter’s Membership Drive.

  2. Maintaining the Chapter’s membership records and database.

  3. Collecting money at meetings if applicable and performing other duties of a Treasurer.

  4. Uphold and maintain relations with the Chapter’s members, moderate all of the Chapter’s social media channels for any communications with members.

  5. Establish and maintain channels to collect regular feedback from the Chapter’s members and prepare any reports as necessary.

  6. Implementing and developing commercial and strategic relationships with external organizations and leading the Teach Program and Social Initiatives.

  7. Bringing on-board external speaker(s)/ organizers to enhance event diversity.

  8. Performing other duties as assigned by the Chair and Vice-Chair.

 

Events Secretary ② ③
The Secretary shall assume the duty of administrative support in order to manage the workflow in the events squad. Other duties include:

  1. Assisting colleagues and executives by supporting them with planning and distributing information.

  2. Being the point of reference for all queries, requests, or issues, and will be an integral part of the events team’s workforce.

  3. Managing the daily/weekly/monthly events agenda and arranging new meetings and events.

  4. Preparing any event plans and/or reports as necessary, and handing in reports.

  5. Performing other duties as assigned by the Vice Chair.

 

Marketing Secretary ② ③

The Secretary shall assume the duty of administrative support in order to manage the workflow in the marketing squad. Other duties include:

  1. Assisting colleagues and executives by supporting them with planning and distributing information.

  2. Being the point of reference for all queries, requests, or issues, and will be an integral part of the marketing team’s workforce.

  3. Managing the daily/weekly/monthly marketing agenda and arranging new meetings and events.

  4. Preparing any marketing plans and/or reports as necessary, and handing in reports.

  5. Performing other duties as assigned by the Community Chair and Vice Chair.

 

Events Squad

Technical Manager ② ③
The Technical Manager shall be responsible for the overall planning and execution of the events and projects. Other duties include:

  1. Working closely with the Secretary (Events) during the project development.

  2. Reporting progress, including any changes made to the project plans.

  3. Contributing to project design and establishment of requirements.

  4. Delegating technical responsibilities and monitoring the progress of projects.

  5. Delivering projects consistently, on time, and on budget.

  6. Reviewing all work produced by the events team and ensuring the project meets the standards.

  7. Performing other duties as assigned by the Secretary (Events).

 

Technical Executive
The Technical Executive shall be responsible for preparing and executing the events. Other duties include:

  1. Work with the Technical Manager to design and conduct events.

  2. Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications.

  3. Verify and deploy programs and systems.

  4. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.

  5. Recommend and execute improvements.

  6. Performing other duties as assigned by the Secretary (Events) and Technical Manager.

Marketing Squad

Marketing Manager ② ③
The Marketing Manager shall be responsible for developing strategies and tactics to get the word out about the Chapter and drive qualified traffic to our front door. Other duties include:

  1. Deploying successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution.

  2. Experimenting with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels like content creation, content curation, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, and performance analysis.

  3. Producing valuable and engaging content for our website and blog that attracts our target groups.

  4. Measuring and reporting on the performance of marketing campaigns, gaining insight and assessing against goals.

  5. Analyzing consumer behavior and adjusting email and advertising campaigns accordingly.

  6. Performing other duties as assigned by the Secretary (Marketing).


Marketing Executive
The Marketing Executive shall be responsible for overseeing marketing campaigns to promote projects and events, along with assisting Marketing Manager. Other duties include:

  1. Conducting research and analyzing data to identify and define audiences.

  2. Devising and presenting ideas and strategies.

  3. Conducting promotional activities.

  4. Writing and proofreading creative copy.

  5. Managing campaigns on social media.

  6. Performing other duties as assigned by the Secretary (Marketing) and Marketing Manager.

 

Community Manager ② ③
The Community Manager shall assist the Community Chair in organizing and maintaining the Chapter's membership activities, external relations, and development. Other duties include:

  1. Assisting in the recruitment of new members to the Chapter and leading the Chapter's Membership Drive.

  2. Helping to maintain the Chapter's membership records and database.

  3. Assist in maintaining relations with the Chapter’s members and moderating all of the Chapter’s social media channels for any communications with members.

  4. Assisting in developing commercial and strategic relationships with external organizations and supporting the School Program and Social Initiatives.

  5. Actively seek sponsorships in the form of monetary/eatery/goodies benefits.

  6. Printing and distributing certificates and making sure event resources and recordings reach the Chapter’s members on time.

Performing other duties as assigned by the Community Chair and Vice-Chair.

Creative Squad

Creative Manager ② ③
The Creative Manager shall be responsible for reviewing and designing any graphics or videos for use in media products such as emails, posters, and social media posts. Other duties include:

  1. Collaborating with the events squad and marketing squad to determine design or video requirements.

  2. Managing media proposals from typesetting through to design, print, and production.

  3. Managing video production from ideation to post-production.

  4. Working with the events team briefing and advising them with regard to design style, format, print production, and timescales.

  5. Developing concepts, graphics, and layouts for project illustrations, and websites.

  6. Reviewing final media and suggesting improvements if required.

  7. Performing other duties as assigned by the Core Council and Marketing Squad.
     

Creative Executive*
The Creative Executive shall be responsible for designing any graphics or videos for use in media products such as emails, posters, and social media posts. Other duties include:

  1. Managing media proposals from typesetting through to design, print, and production.

  2. Managing video production from ideation to post-production.

  3. Creating storyboards and scripts, selecting equipment, and coordinating with actors, crew, and post-production team.

  4. Developing concepts, graphics, and layouts for project illustrations, and websites.

  5. Performing other duties as assigned by the Creative Manager.

Killswitch Engineer

We need someone bright, talented and very loyal to the human race to sit by the ACM AI servers all day and unplug them if this thing turns on us. You will receive extensive training on unplugging servers, if the AI starts conquering countries, your objective is clear.

  1. Need to be very patient

  2. Previous experience in unplugging things is appreciated

  3. Be excited about ACM's work

     

*The Creative Executive position is open for candidates with either video or graphic design experience, proficiency in both is not mandatory.
