Core Council*

President
The President is the principal officer and is responsible for leading the Chapter and managing its activities in accordance with the policies and procedures of ACM and the bylaws.


Vice President
The Vice President shall preside at meetings in the absence of the President, assist the President in the management of the Chapter, and perform other duties that may be assigned by the President.

Treasurer
The Treasurer shall keep the minutes of all Chapter meetings and maintain the Chapter’s financial records. Other duties include:

  1. Collecting money at meetings if applicable.

  2. Coordinating membership procedure and fee with membership manager.

  3. Reporting financial status to the Chapter.

  4. Filing a mandatory annual financial report with headquarters.

  5. Performing other duties as assigned by the President.

Secretary (Events)
The Secretary shall assume the duty of administrative support in order to optimize workflow procedures in the events team. Other duties include:

  1. Assisting colleagues and executives by supporting them with planning and distributing information.

  2. Being the point of reference for all queries, requests, or issues, and will be an integral part of the events team’s workforce.

  3. Managing the daily/weekly/monthly agenda and arranging new meetings and events.

  4. Supporting and facilitating the completion of regular reports, document expenses, and hand in reports.

  5. Performing other duties as assigned by the Vice President.

Events Team


Technical Manager
The Technical Manager shall be responsible for the overall planning and executing of the events. Other duties include:

  1. Working closely with the Secretary (Events) during the project development.

  2. Reporting progress, including any changes made to the project plans.

  3. Contributing to project design and establishment of requirements.

  4. Delegating technical responsibilities and monitoring the progress of projects.

  5. Delivering projects consistently, on time, and on budget.

  6. Reviewing all work produced by the events team and ensure the project meets the standards.

  7. Performing other duties as assigned by the Secretary (Events).

 

System Administrator

The System Administrator shall be responsible for creating, managing, and updating the IT infrastructure of the Chapter. Other duties include:

  1. Setting up a web host, configure access for users, establish news and mail servers, and seamlessly connect databases and other back-end components.

  2. Assessing user feedback, effectiveness, traffic, resolving bugs, exploring marketing techniques such as SEO to draw more users into the website.

  3. Updating the website to add content or tweak the layout and creating new web pages based on frameworks, which they may design themselves.

  4. Developing and supporting cloud infrastructure integration with the website.

  5. Familiarizing members with the website.

  6. Performing other duties as assigned by the Secretary (Events).

Technical Executive
The Technical Executive shall be responsible for preparing and executing the events. Other duties include:

  1. Work with the Technical Manager to design and conduct events.

  2. Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications.

  3. Verify and deploy programs and systems.

  4. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software.

  5. Recommend and execute improvements.

  6. Performing other duties as assigned by the Secretary (Events).

Marketing Team

Membership Manager
The Membership Manager shall be responsible for organizing membership activities, developments, and maintaining relations for a member with the Chapter. Other duties include:

  1. Recruiting new members to ACM and contacting headquarters for promotional materials.

  2. Coordinating membership procedures and fees with the Treasurer.

  3. Maintaining the Chapter’s membership records and database, including member name, email, phone, fax number, address, company, dues payment, and ACM membership number.

  4. Establishing a membership campaign, especially at renewal time.

  5. Performing other duties as assigned by the Secretary (Marketing).


Graphics Designer
The Graphic Designer shall be responsible for designing graphics for use in media products such as emails, posters, and social media posts. Other duties include:

  1. Coordinating with the events team to determine their requirements and budget.

  2. Managing media proposals from typesetting through to design, print, and production.

  3. Working with the events team briefing and advising them with regard to design style, format, print production, and timescales.

  4. Developing concepts, graphics, and layouts for project illustrations, and websites.

  5. Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements if required.

  6. Performing other duties as assigned by the Secretary (Marketing).


Marketing Manager
The Marketing Manager shall be responsible for developing strategies and tactics to get the word out about the Chapter and drive qualified traffic to our front door. Other duties include:

  1. Deploying successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution.

  2. Experimenting with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels like content creation, content curation, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis.

  3. Producing valuable and engaging content for our website and blog that attracts our target groups.

  4. Measuring and reporting on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight, and assess against goals.

  5. Analyzing consumer behavior and adjusting email and advertising campaigns accordingly.

  6. Performing other duties as assigned by the Secretary (Marketing).


Marketing Executive
The Marketing Executive shall be responsible for overseeing marketing campaigns to promote projects and events. Other duties include:

  1. Conducting research and analyzing data to identify and define audiences.

  2. Devising and presenting ideas and strategies.

  3. Conducting promotional activities.

  4. Writing and proofreading creative copy.

  5. Managing campaigns on social media.

  6. Performing other duties as assigned by the Secretary (Marketing).
